Children and Youth

Junior Church

Junior Church provision is for children aged 7 - 11 years and takes place in the Church Hall next to the Library in Church Street every Thursday evening from 6 pm – 7 pm during term time. The purpose is to explore the Christian teaching through craft, games, music and various other activities. There is an annual weekend camp at Holt Hall during the summer.

S.A.S. St Andrew’s Seniors

S.A.S. is for children and teenagers aged 11 - 18 years. They meet on the 2nd Sunday of the month 7 pm - 8.30 pm. It is an adult-led social church group and activities include indoor hockey, ten-pin bowling, swimming, barbecues on the beach etc.

Family Get-Together

This is a short informal family service which takes place on the 1st Sunday of the month at 4.30 pm and lasts for around half an hour. Tea is served in the Church Hall after the service.

Sunday Club

Sunday Club takes place at every 10.30 am Sunday Parish Eucharist, young children are welcome and provided for when they are invited to go to the Sacristy for the first part of the service. Here they are given appropriate teaching. Adults who may wish to help should contact

However, children are invited to take an active part in the service, reading the prayers or lessons and serving.

Children’s Corner

Children’s Corner is to be found at the back of the church where there are books, worksheets and pens for young children to use during the service.
