‘Moorland Voices’ from Staffordshire.
“Moorland Voices was formed in January 2014 and is based in the beautiful Staffordshire Moorlands. We are a small chamber choir of about 24 voices and take an unusual “collaborative” approach in that we have no single musical director, instead drawing on the skills of choir members. Since our formation we have performed a wide and varied repertoire to considerable acclaim, and even accepted an invitation to tour South Africa over Easter 2017. During this tour we performed Stainer’s Crucifixion in Grahamstown Cathedral on Easter Saturday. In April 2018 the choir performed in Friesland in The Netherlands, so we are truly a choir of international repute. Two concerts took place in March and a concert tour of Norfolk will take place in the summer of 2019, checkout our Concerts & Events page for details and tickets: https://www.moorlandvoices.net/”
Additional info: the programme at St. Andrew’s in Holt, Norfolk will include “A Little Jazz Mass” by Bob Chilcott as well as 5 folksong arrangements and a mix of secular and religious music both accompanied and a capella.
