The Parish Church is pleased to be able to support this year’s Holt Festival. Look out for events happening in the Church, including the Holt Community Primary School art exhibition, “A Host of Angels” and also the free festival fringe lunchtime concerts at 12.30pm. St. Andrew’s Festival Fringe Lunchtime Concerts
Programme of Events from 23rd – 28th July 2017
Sunday 23rd at 10.30 am. HOLT FESTIVAL SERVICE – The Parish Eucharist will be offered in Celibration and Thanksgiving for the Arts by The Revd Canon Howard Stoker. The guest preacher will be The Revd Canon Peter Doll, Canon Librarian at Norwich Cathedral. All are welcome.
Monday 24th: 12.30 – 1.30 pm. Nick Beever (baritone) and Ching Ching Lim (piano). Nick excels in the field of songs of the British Isles and German Lieder and the musicians will present an eclectic mix of old favourites and hidden gems for Baritone.
Tuesday 25th: 12.30 – 1.30 pm. The Wyre Forest Young Voices – we are honoured to have been invited to host this well known youth choir from Kidderminster at the start of their Norfolk Tour which will include a concert in Norwich Cathedral.
Wednesday 26th: 12.30 – 1.30 pm. “Flutissimo” – Anna Hopkins (flute), accompanied by David Morgan (piano and organ) will perform a recital to include music by Telemann, Poulenc, Rheinberger, Morricone, Dutilleux & George Gershwin.
Thursday 27th: 12.30 – 1.30 pm. “The Lighters” – The popular local trio: Chris (electro acoustic guitars), Giselle (vocal) and Dan (keyboard) will play covers and originals in various styles of music from the 50’s onwards.
Friday 28th: 12.30 – 1.30 pm. “The Sheringham Shantymen” need no introduction as the concluding performers of this week’s concerts. We welcome this popular group to the St. Andrew’s Festival Fringe to provide our final event of lively entertainment for all ages & tastes.
A Children’s Art Exhibition of ‘A Host of Angels’ will be on show in the Church throughout the week.
