OUT AND ABOUT: High Kelling Garden Club have invited us to join them on their annual outing to Bressingham on 4th July. Cost of coach £10.00 payable in advance and non-refundable. Entry to gardens/museum etc. will be paid individually on the day. The coach will leave the War Memorial at 9.35am and return approximately 5.00pm. HOLT FRINGE FESTIVAL AT ST. ANDREW’S IN JULY:

SUNDAY 22nd at 2.30pm   HOLT FESTIVAL SERVICE; An uplifting service of Word, Song and Music to celebrate the Arts.  All Welcome.

MONDAY 23rd     THE SAMPHIRES‘Skimming Stones’; 12.30pm A concert of gentle harmony from a local ladies vocal ensemble to create musical ripples to delight and charm

TUESDAY 24th     ORGAN RECITAL – MARK JONES; 12.30pm Locally renowned for his work as past Director of Music at Gresham’s School, Mark is now organist and choirmaster at St. Andrew’s. WEDNESDAY 25th      FAKENHAM UKES; 12.30pm A fun-filled interactive event provided by the Fakenham Ukes. THURSDAY 26th     TALE DOLCE MUSICA; 12.30 Tale Dolce Musica, which translates as ‘Such Sweet Music’, comprises some of the most experienced musicians in East Anglia.

FRIDAY 27th July     CHANTER’S JIGGE – Folk and Early Music Duo; 12.30pm Songs, ayres, jigs and jollies from around Europe and across the centuries, played and sung with ancient, traditional and modern instruments.

Fri 20th – Fri 27th July – Celebrating 10 years of the Holt Festival ‘Owls’, created by children from Holt Primary School, led by artist Jessica Perry, displayed in shop windows and venues throughout the town, including Holt Library and St Andrew’s Church. The owl is, of course, Holt’s emblem.

Fri 20th – Fri 27th July – (Not during Services/Events) All Welcome, ‘More Owls’ (+) Exhibition of wonderful 2 and 3 dimensional images of owls created by local artists Maria Pavledis, Jessica Perry and Sharon Emery.

PARISH HOLIDAY: 9th – 11th October 2018, spending 3 days (2 nights) exploring the sites in our local city. Staying at the comfortable 4 star hotel, the Maid’s Head, Norwich, opposite the cathedral. Please see the display board at the back of church and please also take a flier from the table. If you are interested in coming, just add your name to the list of people who have already signed up. COFFEE MORNING MONDAY: every Monday morning in the Meeting Room from 10.00am-12.00noon. All welcome.

Concerts:

The FALCON Saturday Evening Concerts are not ticketted, although donations are welcomed. A licensed bar is available for wine and soft drinks.  Posters and programmes may be downloaded by clicking on any underlined links.

GROUPS:

Little Lamb’s Parent & Toddler Group; meets every Wednesday during term time

9.30am – 11.00am in the Parish Church Hall. All parents/carers are welcome to come along and meet with friends and make new ones.  A relaxed, warm, safe and welcoming environment in which children are invited to come along and play. Refreshments available.

Bible Study

The Bible Study Group meets on the first Thursday of each month at 11.00am usually at 5 Avenue Road, High Kelling and also on the second Thursday of each month, at 5.30pm at The Cedars, 39 Cromer Road. “Blueprint”

Holt Deanery Youth Group for children and teenagers  aged 11 – 16yrs from across the Holt Deanery. Meets on the 1st & 3rd Sundays of the month at the Holt Youth Project, 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Coffee Morning Mondays

10am – 12noon every Monday in the  St Andrew’s Meeting Room at the Parish Church. Come along, relax and enjoy a coffee with friends. Everyone welcome.

The Poppy Centre

The Holt and District Dementia Support Group meets every Tuesday 10.30am – 12.30pm in the Meeting Room at the Parish Church.  A ‘drop-in café’ offering support to those who suffer with dementia and those who care for them.
The support group also offers a Home Visiting Service to enable carers to have some time to themselves, for up to three hours a week.

A Sports Session is held on the third Thursday of each month from 10.30am – 12.15pm at Holt Sports Centre, Woodfield Road, NR25 6TX. The session include seated exercises for carers and those with dementia, led by Victory Sports, also table tennis, pool, quoits and magnetic darts.
