Our Worship
The parish churches are open daily for public worship and private prayer. Church opening and services times.
Our tradition
The tradition established in the parish over many years is best described as “modern catholic” and expresses the Anglo-Catholic tradition of the Church of England. Vestments are worn, the Blessed Sacrament is reserved, Feast Days are honoured and incense is used at the Sunday Parish Sung Eucharist.
The daily offices of morning and evening prayer following the order of Common Worship are said publicly in Holt St Andrew and all are welcome to attend. We are a Eucharistic community and the Eucharist, through which we are fed and nurtured by both Word and Sacrament, is also celebrated daily.
Using the Church of England Common Worship, the Parish Eucharist each Sunday is a Sung Eucharist and is accompanied by the choir, on second and fourth Sundays.
The District Church of All Saints, High Kelling shares the tradition of the Parish Church and while vestments are worn for the Sunday celebration of the Eucharist, the service is said with hymns.
The 1662 Book of Common Prayer is used for the 8 am Eucharist each Sunday and for Choral Evensong on the second Sunday of each month at 5 pm.
Our music and the church choir
We are fortunate to have an excellent director of music who maintains a high standard of music and choral tradition and the choir plays an important part in serving the church. More details on the Church Choir.
Our hospitality
Hospitality is offered each week after the Thursday morning Eucharist at All Saints and the Sung Parish Eucharist on Sundays.
You are warmly invited to join us for fellowship and refreshments.
