The Diocese of Norwich

The Right Reverend Graham Usher, the Bishop of Norwich, serves the Diocese with the aid of the Suffragan Bishops of Kings Lynn, The Right Reverend Dr Jane Steen, and of Thetford, The Right Reverend Ian Bishop; also the Archdeacon of Lynn, the Venerable Catherine Dobson.

The Parish of Holt with High Kelling is part of The Church of England Diocese of Norwich which serves and supports churches, schools, and communities across the areas of Norfolk and Waveney. We are also part of the Deanery of Holt.

As a Parish, we look to the Right Reverend Norman Banks, Bishop of Richborough and Assistant Bishop in the Diocese for pastoral and sacramental care.

Throughout the Diocese are hundreds of stunning, historic church buildings, around 650 in all, which are actively used for worship. The Diocese provides support to those caring for them and creating welcoming spaces and preserving each one for future generations. It also provides training and support for those serving in churches, from vicars to volunteers.

The Diocese works in many areas to strengthen the community and share the message of Christ.
