Bible Study

A detailed view of various King James Version Bibles, highlighting religious imagery. — Pews, hymn books and kneelers at Holt St Andrew church, Holt.

Bible study at Holt St Andrew takes the form of Lectio Divina (meaning divine reading). This is a traditional Benedictine practice of scriptural reading, meditation, and prayer, intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of his Word. It does not treat Scripture as texts to be studied but as the living word.
